Join the feasting festivities with today’s Groupon: for $20, you get one admission to the Hibachi and Sake Festival hosted by Otani Japanese Steak & Seafood in Chantilly and Sterling (a $40 value). The festival takes place every Friday and Saturday during the month of September, with dining festivities running from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. This Groupon may be used at either of Otani’s two locations.

The Hibachi and Sake Festival guides taste buds through a tableside tour of cuisine from the Land of the Rising Sun. Amid the thrum of chatter, music, and chopsticks’ renditions of “Hot Cross Buns,” guests are treated to hibachi-style meals prepared by Otani’s chefs. The three-course edible journey sets sail with buffet-style appetizers including gyoza, edamame, and tempura, and for the main course, diners choose from Japanese fare prepared with shrimp, chicken, calamari, or steak, including filet mignon. Each dish is cooked to palate-pleasing status through the traditional method of grilling on the hot surface of a gleaming samurai sword. The evening concludes with a delectable addendum of rainbow sherbet.
